I've found the epitome of country living! Locally Grown Gardens located in Indianapolis, IN is a Year Round Farmers Market. The market is so quaint and you feel like you've stepped inside an issue of 'Country Living Magazine'. The Chef, Ron Harris, greets you as you enter this lovely venue and sounds of Reggae music fill the air. An assortment of fresh (and locally grown) veggies and fruit are available for sale, as well as a small lunch menu - consisting of 2 things, Smoked Salmon and Pulled Pork Sandwiches. I opted for the Pulled Pork. And a most delish choice at that. This sandwich is served in a heaping portion over a thick slice of homemade bread. A mouthwatering invitation of "glass-bottled soda" line the coolers. I chose the "Cheerwine"... a cool, refreshing cherry sparkling treat! ... To complete this meal, Sugar Cream Pie. A true 'Hoosier' delicacy.
But my review won't do any justice to this place! ... Check out the website for yourself, and next time you are in Indianapolis, you've got to get lost in this atmosphere! Oh, and its completely appropriate to lick your plate at this place!
